Harvest Festival

KS3 pupils at Avalon school held their Harvest festival this week, inviting parents and governors. The theme this year was The British Red Cross and their work to support refugees.

The pupils had worked hard collecting donations to fill up their British Red Cross charity bags.

Bev from the Street Red Cross shop attended the festival to see the all pupils’ hard work and collect the donations.

It’s wonderful to see all the donations and to see the work you have done.’

Lorna Shephard, citizenship lead, said that the pupils had been really interested in finding out about the refugees and keen to help them through donations.
